What a creative solution. Talk about your "one-of-a-kind" knife sheath. Thank you. Nice work all the way around. Really nice. I like it.I wore it to work today - just to see how it felt. In a word- Sweet. It rides perfectly. It's right where it needs to be for quick access, without being in the way"
"Thank you for the custom holster, very awesome, fit perfectly! Have a great day -you made mine!"
Zachary Shrall, MD
"Many years ago I met you at a show in Atlanta, GA , I think you were just starting in the leather business. I bought two "Hideouts", one for a Tommy Lee, one for a Prince, and ordered one for a Pentagon, which was also perfect, by the way! After all these years of use they are still perfect."
"The current pouch sheath I put on a knife is a fine piece of gear, but nothing that any worker, if he cares, can't do easily. And judging by the pictures you sent me of your work; you can do it far better than I can. Hell, I concede that, any time."
R. W. Loveless, Knife maker (Founding member of The Knifemakers Guild)
"Thank you so much for the outstanding leatherwork. You really are terrific at it and somehow, you learned how without going to prison! I can unhesitatingly recommend your work as outstanding to anyone."
"I have had many holsters in the past 40 years. This is the most exceptional craftsmanship and finish of any of my custom made holsters!"
Jerry Snapp, Snapp Shots Law Enforcement Equipment Co
"The great effort and work you performed in making the knife sheaths is truly the Mark of a Master - and I was greatly impressed and awfully surprised! Thanks so much…"
Charles W. Henderson U.S.M.C., Author of the book-

Greg Walker, Executive Editor, Fighting Knives Magazine
"When you see 'the Wild Irish Rose' trademark on one of his knifes, you can trust the quality and craftsmanship of every blade he turns out by hand and the sweat of his brow."

I received 9 knives with sheaths from John Dennehy about a week ago. The knives are all hard working user type knives. The knives arrived shave sharp. They were polished and all grind lines were straight and clean.
I brought the knives to my Rifle club for the guys to have a look see. Only 7 came back. Two were sold on the spot. They guys used a model called the ‘chuck wagon’ to prepared dinner for about 20 shooters. After they used the knife from cutting everything imaginable, including chicken bones, I took the knife home and tested in on a tomato. I wanted to see how thin a slice that I could cut. On a firm tomato, I cut a slice that was translucent.
I tested one knife. The model escapes me at this time. I put it in a vice to flex test it – no noticeable deviation in the blade. I buried the tip in wood and twisted it trying to break the point. The test had no effect on the tip. I chopped across a pine plank hitting the knots – trying to chip the blade - in the end, the blade was perfect. The last thing I did with the knife was throw it as hard as I could into oak logs about 20 times. For all my efforts, all I got was tiered. But I did stick the knife 4 times. John’s leatherwork is superb and a custom form fitted sheath comes with every knife. His delivery time is a few weeks longer than most makers but the quality and price is well worth the wait.

"The Corky Special" While this knife was a custom order from a dear friend, he is honored that I would like to continue to offer this knife. With an idea in mind, Corky designed this knife with some suggestions from myself. It is now called the Corky Stewart Special.
